After around 25 lakh potential beneficiaries registered on the Co-WIN portal for the second phase of the Covid-19 vaccination drive on Day 1, around 1.46 lakh people who were above 60 years of age and those above 45 with specific comorbid conditions got their first doses of the vaccine.

At the peak of the LAC standoff between Indian and Chinese troops, a Chinese hacker group likely caused a widespread power outage in the country's financial capital, Mumbai, last October. The power supply to Mumbai had shut down for several hours on that day, bringing the city to a grinding halt.

 

A day after Congress leaders shared the stage with an influential Muslim cleric at an election rally in Kolkata, senior party leader Anand Sharma said the Congress cannot be “selective in fighting communalists” but must do so in all its manifestations. West Bengal Congress Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury hit back, saying his criticism was “only serving the polarising agenda of BJP”.
